The Hebrew word ruach and Greek word pneuma mean breath/wind/spirit together.
Amazingly the body and the spirit are animated by God’s breath — At the beginning God breathed into Adam and he became eternal instantaneaously - because God is Eternal ! and this makes us embodied creatures, not merely spirits trapped in bodies. (nb God did not breath into animals).
Lets really firm up on this once and for all in the immutability of the Fathers word of Life in a confirmation of Truth for example: Colossians 2:9 NKJV For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, 10 and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority.

Something comes to mind with the word Deity that's fundamental to Truth and the foundation of mediation and relational dynamics in our communion with God.
In Holy scripture Hebrews 6:18 reveals that it is impossible for God to lie. That gives us ultimate security that He is safe and that knowledge of Him is immutable so we also know that the relationship is consitantly eternal. However one of the other primary religions states and seems to celebrate the fact that its primary deity is a 'deceiver' with means that its belief system in its entirety simply cannot work! If there is no eternal security because your deity is a deceiver there is no certainty of future or eternity for any individual adherant. For Our God who as Jesus said is Our Father reveals that we are therefore in a Kingdom with a valid Father who because of Love (not present as far as we can see or even define in other religions) declares that we have actually been made Sons(offspring) in 1 John 3:1 this makes the entire relational dynamic of Christianity just so exciting and we'll have an even deeper dive into this in due course.
Do see Romans 12:2 — “renewing of the mind”
The mind must be renewed because: Our thinking activates being.
Interestingly virtue requires intentional thought and distorted thinking leads to distorted living much like a positive thought as opposed to a negative thought. We are exactly who He says we are in Jesus not remotely anything like the mantra of the accuser!
Its easy from a negative thought dynamic to slide into wrongdoing through “minute steps,” showing how unexamined thinking leads to moral breakdown.
We see this in diminishing societal standards each negative step however small initiates a moral decline process, deprecation and loss of vision (without a vision people perish!) Vice requires no real thinking at all; virtue though requires thoughtful formulation of thought. Nothing wrong with the Body it carries us around and is given to us in order to be the place of celebration. Its a place of Worship a Holy Place an inner temple for Him to dwell in Joy. Its a place of service and a place of dwelling with the Holy Spirit in an extraordinary Holy mutuality. This is why persons without bodies evil/unclean spirits seek habitation - the enemy strategically tries to counterfeit all the good purposes of God But we can feel very secure and safe because 1 John 4:4 greater is He (God) that is in you than he that is in the world.
