New Identity New Realm
Supernatural identity - Stop seeing people by their old identity

Stop seeing people by their old identity, because God doesn't see Christ that way any more — and you’re in Him anyway.
So the verses just before 2 Corinthians 5:17 are the key to understanding why Paul says “new creation” is a present reality, not a future hope.“Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh, we do so no longer.”
This is pretty significant but do many get really excited about this? What filters down from above.
We seem to always look at the means instead of the end but should be a balance or at least weighted towards the end because the end is eternal and the Father is eternal. So let’s take a fresh walk through this in simple flow.
The Core of Identity The verses before 2 Cor 5:17 explain why you are a new creation. Verse 17 is the result.
It’s not a spiritual makeover — it’s a new identity, a new creation, a new nature, a new way of enjoying fellowship with God, yourself, and the world as a reflection of Jesus.
The old life (guilt, alienation from God, self‑defined identity) is declared gone. A new life/a new creation (reconciliation, purpose, in fact Spirit‑empowered living) has begun. We need to be careful though what we speak over ourselves in the same way although it can be very real in practice i.e. ‘you become what you worship’ (so undo anything that doesn't meet the revelation of 2 Cor 5:17 and fill in the blanks with who you are now).
There's more much more 2 Corinthians 5:17 tells us that God made me and you
(a totally new (hybrid) creation), Ephesians 2:6 tells you where God placed you (seated with Christ), Colossians 1:13 tells you what realm you now live in (
the kingdom of the Son of His love).
2 Corinthians 5:17 — New Creation (Identity)
Paul describes the internal transformation:
You are not the old you - you've been utterly renewed but sermons don't reveal this the focus is on past failures and how to become better
you are a new kind of human, spiritually alive with a new fabulous positional identity
The old order of your life has passed away
A new order has begun -
This is Eternal God formed identity-level change.
Ephesians 2:6 — Seated With Christ (Position)
Paul now describes the positional transformation:
God raised you with Christ
God seated you with Christ in the heavenly realms
This is not future — Paul writes it as a completed action
This means: You share Christ’s victory
You share His authority
You live from His position, not your old one
If 2 Cor 5:17 is about exactly who you are, Eph 2:6 is about Exactly where you are spiritually located as a new ‘hybrid’ creation.
Colossians 1:13 — Transferred Kingdoms (Realm)
Paul describes the jurisdictional transformation:
God rescued you from the domain of darkness (thank you Father)
God transferred you into the Kingdom of the Son of His Love)
This is legal, cosmic, and relational:
You no longer live under the rule of darkness
You now live under Christ’s rule, protection, and light
Your spiritual “address” has changed kingdoms in fact your domain has changed
This is realm-level change.
1. God recreates you as a
New creation — your nature, status and operational dynamics change
2. God relocates you
Seated with Christ — your spiritual position changes its both present now and eternally sealed.
3. God reassigns your citizenship
Transferred into His Kingdom — your spiritual government changes.
These aren’t mere metaphors. Paul treats them as real spiritual events that define the believer’s present reality.
The Big Picture
Put together, these passages say:
You are not who you were!
You are not where you were!
You are not now under what you were under!
