We aren’t supposed to live on yesterdays encounters or last years revelations like memories of a good party (this is what Hunger is in Matthew 5:6 many aren’t even hungry!) the treasure available in Him is just not found. Its unlikely to be found until we say internally I must have that field that pearl of great price. We interact with a person in whom is a Kingdom that has no end it’s as John says we fellowship with the Father and with His Son and with one another. As we draw closer (imperative in love - as Jesus said I must preach to the other villages) we understand that fire needs fuel and it’s unusually in Hunger (I must have Him - we will be more than satisfied). This isn’t religion this is relationship! Religion will always feed itself like an addiction but relationship satisfies, grows and develops in our case eternally it is in no way transient!)

Peter reveals that one day with the Lord is like a 1,000 years but for us one of our days without Him (because we span both realms) is like losing His presence for an indeterminable time, the sense of loss is such a loss we ask as David did to “take not your Holy Spirit from me” In reality Jesus says quite truthfully I “will never leave you nor forsake you”

Christian believers who have experienced an NDE (near death experience), discover that its like a golden jigsaw and most of the missing pieces are given at the time but because the sheer profound depth of them it takes months and year to put each piece in its place but the the beauty of it is that the end result a more complete picture is now much more clearly visible in fact one might say infinitely more visible and strangely available..

Jesus put a towel over His arm and washed feet even to the man (Judas Iscariot) He knew would betray Him (at that point look at what He says about everything had been given to Him by the Father and He gave everything He understands the unlimited resources of God the immutability of Father, He is gloriously secure and has an eternal and greater understanding of what IS)

The enemy is trying to usurp the identity of Jesus in you - in fact the enemy is functioning out of insecurity because he changed (his choice) his own identity and possibly not happy with the outcome most likely because he’s focused on the destruction of the identity of the Lord's family and if Gods Children begin to realise exactly who they are from a place of eternal identity the enemy has a real problem..

In the writing in the dust story (St John 8) Jesus dismantled religious authority and control which is still prevalent in certain circles and totally transformed the situation into kindness and forgiveness both of which are eternal whereas the writing in the dust was transient (proskairos realm) that is to say judgment certainly in the world is fleeting and like dust would have disappeared in a few hours or in the cold evening breezes that can start late afternoon in Jerusalem but what’s important here is that He whilst forgiving emphatically says go but sin no more (an eternal dynamic her new forgiven status could change the composition of her heart to holiness and a maintenance of His word inside). Some traditions say Mary Magdalene but no evidence at all only perhaps a longing to undo perhaps through religious jealousy the spectacular revelation given by Jesus to a delivered woman.

God is irreducibly unlike anyone else or anything else He exists in truth holiness perfection and incandescent light and Jesus is the brightest part of the Glory of God (the writer to Hebrews whoever it was must have had an extraordinary revelation of Jesus to even conceptualise this understanding and to so kindly record it for us. He thought in Hebrew but wrote in probably the best Greek in the New Testament

Isaiah interacted with His Holiness and was touched directly on the lips by a being who exists in the Throne room of Heaven. He’s so privileged to be able to name Seraphim (means fire beings) this shows the fellowship and relational glory of the Lord as with Adam who worked with God to name so many creatures - its not the job its the interaction that so so beautiful!
